Dr. Steven G. LeDesma, a native of Oxnard, California, completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego. He received his doctorate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine. While at UCLA, he was honored as a Dean’s Scholar for his research in emergency medicine. Additionally, he has traveled throughout Michoacan, Mexico, working in clinics and hospitals, providing medical care to people in rural communities. He is currently board certified in nephrology.
Dr. Tane Liu received her doctorate in medicine from Beijing Medical College in 1986. Following her doctorate degree, Dr. Liu furthered her education by receiving a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China. Her postdoctoral training and residency in internal medicine was completed at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She then completed a residency in Nephrology at UCLA Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Los Angeles, California. She is currently board certified in nephrology.
Dr. Koosha Mortazavi was born in Tehran, Iran. He emigrated to the United States in 1999 after he received his doctorate in medicine at the Iran University of Medical Sciences. He completed post graduate training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he was awarded for excellent performance in internal medicine. Dr. Mortazavi then continued his postgraduate training in Nephrology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas where he received the Amgen Nephrology Fellowship Award. He is currently board certified in nephrology.
Dr. Ali Pardis Dana received his medical degree in 1998 from the Iran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. After two years of postgraduate social services and three years in general practice, Dr. Dana earned an opportunity as a research associate at the Endocrine and Diabetes Center in Vienna, Virginia. In 2005, Dr. Dana began his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida and completed the programs in 2008. Directly following the completion of those programs, he completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Florida as well. After practicing nephrology in Las Vegas, Nevada for several years, Dr. Dana joined the dynamic group of Vista Del Mar physicians. After more than 20 years with Vista Del Mar, he continues to be relentless about compassionate patient care. Dr. Dana is currently board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
Dr. Rajendra Niraula received his medical degree at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2000. Dr. Niraula completed his internship and residency in internal medicine with Western Reserve Care System/Forum Health in Youngstown, Ohio in 2007. After working as a hospitalist at St. John’s Regional Medical Center for several years, he decided to complete his nephrology fellowship at Olive View – UCLA Medical Center. After earning his board certification, Dr. Niraula served as the Associate Director of Dialysis and as a staff nephrologist at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, California. He is currently board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
After completing a nephrology fellowship at Harbor – UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, Dr. Chonlada Chivangkul began practicing nephrology in the Long Beach area. Earlier in her career, she earned her medical degree with honors in 2004 from Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. With almost 10 years of nephrology experience, Dr. Chivangkul is a brilliant and warmhearted physician, and a crucial member of the Vista Del Mar team. She is currently board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
